Reggie asked, “You want to grab some lunch?”

Mick stared out the car window.

“You’re far away, dude. You thinking about Mr. and Mrs. Rich Pants?”

Mick smiled. “You think Nicole was there . . . at Anita’s?”

“I’m not sure. I don’t see why she wouldn’t be. Makes sense she would go with her husband.”

“But don’t you think Anita would’ve mentioned her?”

“Yeah, maybe. But Anita looks like a shaken-up, unstable woman. Details like that aren’t important to her.”

“What’d you think of Ira Leville?”

“Seems to be hiding something.”

“That’s what I got too. We may need that search warrant after all.”

“That’s going to be a tough one to get. There’s no evidence linking these two men.”

“Except Anita, who witnessed Ira going through her husband’s office in search of documents.”

“True. So what about lunch? I’m starving.”

“Can’t go to lunch today. I’ve got an errand to run.”
